On a PowerPC-based Macintosh running Mac OS X 10.4.x (Tiger), a Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) package exported from a group using a name with Japanese characters with a policy that is also named with Japanese characters. After installing the SEP package to the Macintosh workstation, Auto-Protect does not function and threats are not detected.

Threats are not detected by the Auto-Protect scans.

Unknown at this time.

Restarting the workstation will reload Auto-Protect completely and Auto-Protect scans will take place normally.
