Configuring Veritas Cluster Server with Endpoint Protection fails

Problem
Configuring Veritas Cluster Server 5.1.x for Windows running on a Windows 2008 server with Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 Maintenance Release 5 (MR5) installed fails.
Error
Failed to start the cluster. Error=FFFFFFFF. Failed to start services on all the nodes.
Solution
In order to configure Veritas Cluster Server on a Windows 2008 server that already has Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 MR5 installed, follow these steps. Configuring the server will fail unless these steps are performed.
To configure the server
- Download the attached zip file (bindview_34177.zip), and unzip it to a temporary folder.

Double-click Bindview.exe.

From the Network Binding GUI, select All Services, and then right-click Symantec Endpoint Protection Firewall.

From the right-click menu, click Unbind From...

Select all the components and click Unbind.

Restart the server.
Note: These steps must be repeated on all cluster nodes.
