Solution

The following issues are addressed in the EEB (Emergency Engineering Binary) package available by contacting Symantec technical support and referencing this document ID and Etrack 2060693:

ET1997491: Time spent in calling RetrieveHostsComputeResourceContents function adds up when there are a number of ESX hosts

ET2003391: NetBackup 7.0 needs to support VMware vNetwork distributed switches

ET2003415: NetBackup 7.0 vStorage credential validation and backups will not work if non-default port is used by vCenter server for SSL

ET2005780: The vSphere inventory browsing is slow if the backup host cannot resolve IP addresses of virtual machines

ET2013219: Extremely high delays in initiating alternate location restores to vSphere cloud if there are 100+ ESX hosts

ET2022627: Large Environment cause Virtual Center to crash when connection limit is exceeded (Fix Session leaks while using VADP as well as VDDK requested)

ET2024566: vCenter session leaks while running vStorage API backups

ET2024766: vStorage choosing the wrong IP address for a VM

ET2025551: Requested 7.0.0 version of EEB from SR1902324

ET2027071: bpVMutil continuously restarts itself if cache file cannot be updated causing session strain on vCenter server

ET2046028: Unable to retrieve datastores while attempting to perform restore using Restore ESX Server

ET2054628: Multiple Cluster hierarchy is not handle correctly when perform vStorage restore via GUI

With the exception of Etrack 2024766, all of these issues are resolved in the NetBackup 7.0.1 Release Update.
