Problem
RALUS (Remote Agent for Linux / Unix Servers) or RAMS (Remote Agent for Mac Servers) push installations from the BEIM (Backup Exec Infrastructure Manager console appear to complete successfully but the Agent is not installed on the target system. The policy on the BEIM console also does not refresh to correctly represent the status of the job.
Error
Failed to refresh Policies. The Policy Manager returned error:
The specified resource is not ready ({9006e170-db6b-4fcd-9027-5878394229e4}).
This condition is temporary and will be resolved by the next collection update.
Solution
When push installs of the RALUS or RAMS components is
configured through the BEIM console the console may report a completed
installation. Upon further inspection, one or more of the target Linux/Unix/Mac
systems may not appear to have the agent installed. In this situation the best
method to solve the problem is to install the agent locally on the system in
question. Alternately, the policy on the BEIM console may show an incorrect
status of the push install job (example: it may show 100% completion when in
fact the push did not complete successfully).
