Problem
When attempting to create a Deduplication Storage folder within Backup Exec using the DeDuplication Option "An error occurred while creating the DeDuplication Storage Folder." occurs
Error
"An error occurred while creating the DeDuplication Storage Folder."
Cause
Account used to create/access the Deduplication Option may not have enough permissions to properly read/write to a DeDuplication Folder.
Solution
Confirm the Backup Exec Service Account (BESA) permissions, groups and user rights are applied correctly. Please see the Related Documents section below for further information regarding BESA requirements.
Workaround:
Create/use an alternative BESA account for DeDuplication folder creation.
