Macintosh clients cannot download package from package server

Problem
Macintosh clients are not able to download the Inventory for Macintosh package from a package server. The package server has created and downloaded the files already.
Environment
NS 6.0.6074 SP3
Mac Agent 6.1.2246
Mac Inventory 6.1.2051
G5 machines OS 10.3.8, 10.3.9, 10.4.3, 10.4.4
All (most) mac clients use DNS
Cause
IIS settings had an invalid path to the PS directory and the 'read' attribute had been unchecked.
Solution
In the IIS Virtual Directory settings for the package server, browse to the correct directory to reset the path and 'check' the 'read' option.
