Problem
Why do Unix, Linux and Macintosh (ULM) package directories have Windows Authentication checked in IIS?
Solution
Package servers are client-agnostic, meaning they don't care which client a package is intended for. All packages are treated the same. Therefore, ULM packages will include the 'Windows Authentication' option.
The ULM agent is designed to support NTLMv1 authentication, so there should not be any problem with this method of authentication. However, if clients fail to authenticate, download packages, etc., unchecking Windows Authentication may resolve the issue.
