Error

Windows could not start the Backup Exec Deduplication Engine service. Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start.

Cause

When Deduplication option is selected for the installation it installs the postgresql and creates a local user purediskdbuser on the Media Server and the postgresql-8.3 service runs under purediskdbuser account. If due to any reason the account's password is changed the same has to be modified in the services credential for postgresql-8.3 service.
