Problem
Application Granular Restore Technology (GRT) enabled Backup of Virtual machine fails when both Exchange and SQL are installed on the virtual machine with error "Cannot backup directory \zzzVirtApp000zzz and its subdirectories".
Error
Final error: 0xe0009741 - Failed to mount one or more virtual disk images. Restores that use Granular Recovery Technology may not be available from this backup set.
Final error category: Resource Errors.
V-79-57344-38721 - Error. Cannot backup directory \zzzVirtApp000zzz and its subdirectories.
Cause
This issue will come up when both Exchange and SQL are installed on the Virtual Machine being backed up. This will come up for virtual machine hosted on Hyper-V as well as on VMware ESX server.
