Receiving the following error when expanding a SharePoint 2007 database "An error was encountered while attempting to browse the contents of Server Farm. Although the specified server is a SharePoint resource, Backup Exec cannot confirm the topology."

An error was encountered while attempting to browse the contents of Server Farm. Although the specified server is a SharePoint resource,Backup Exec cannot confirm the topology.

Cause



Configuration/security issue with SSO (Single Sign On).

 


Solution



Run a test  backup with SharePoint's internal backup utility.  If the backup job fails, contact Microsoft Support for further assistance.
