=================
I.   KNOWN ISSUES
=================
This section describes the known issues that are applicable with this Release
Update and are yet to be fixed in the Symantec Product Authentication Service (AT).
These issues will be fixed in future Release Updates of AT.

+ [ET1545753] Unable to install AT 4.3.42.0 and AZ 4.3.24.1 on AIX5.3 TL9.

This release does not support the Symantec Product Authentication
Service (AT) and Authorization Service (AZ) on AIX 5.3 TL8 and TL9
             platforms.

+ [ET1536557] This release does not contain an upgrade option for client package
on Sun AMD. This issue is applicable only when upgrading a
             Solaris x64 (AMD64) client.

To work around this issue, perform the following:
             1. Back up /etc/vx/vss.
             2. Back up /var/VRTSat.
             3. Back up /etc/vx/uuid.
             4. Remove the package, using the pkgrm command.
             5. Add the new package, using the the pkgadd command.
             6. Restore the old /etc/vx/vss, /var/VRTSat, and /etc/vx/uuid.

+ [ET1539573] Unable to install an x64 client if the old server is installed on
the system. This issue is applicable only when upgrading a Linux x64
             (AMD64) client.

To work around this issue, perform the following:
             1. Back up /etc/vx/vss.
             2. Back up /var/VRTSat.
             3. Back up /etc/vx/uuid.
             4. Remove the package, using the rpm command.
             5. Add the new package, using the the rpm command.
             6. Restore the old /etc/vx/vss, /var/VRTSat and /etc/vx/uuid.

+ [ET1536447] The client uninstall process on a Solaris x64 (AMD) platform stops the
broker service. If you encounter this issue, start the AT service
             manually.

+ [ET1545868] The AT client uninstall process on a Solaris x64 (AMD) platform,
removes /etc/vx/uuid.  To resolve this issue, perform the following:

             1. Back up /etc/vx/uuid.
             2. Uninstall the AT Solaris x64 client.
             3. Restore /etc/vx/uuid.

+ [ET1589151] The upgrade failed when VxAT was upgraded to v4.3.42.0 on HP-UX 11.31.
To resolve this issue, perform the following:

              1. Run the following command:
                 /opt/VRTSat/bin/vssregctl -C -l -b "Security\\Authentication\\
                 Authentication Broker\\AtPlugins" -S "nisplus"
              2. Run "installvss" to upgrade the AT.

+ [ET1595456] The upgrade script output indicates that the AT service is started
even when AT is not configured.

If you encounter this issue, you can ignore the following message:
"Symantec Product Authentication Service was started successfully."

+ [ET1598641] An issue exists that does not allow you to run the "srvscan.exe"
executable on Windows platforms. That causes the cluster set-up to
fail. In addition, VCS is not able to monitor or probe the VxAT
service. If you encounter this issue, do the following:

Download and install the vc80 CRT runtime that is available at the
             following location:
