Technical Solution

When using external eSATA disks as Offsite copy locations, if a disk is removed then added later, the Offsite copy process does not begin automatically.

  1. Create a local network share for the removable eSATA disk.
  2. Configure the Offsite copy feature in BESR to write to this share.
  3. When the drive is disconnected, the share will become disconnected. Once the drive is online and the share is online, the Offsite copy process will begin automatically.
