Using Enterprise Vault (EV) for Lotus Domino targeting users within Organizational Unit (OU) where OU name contains UNICODE character results in error.

Users are not able to retrieve archived items getting the error "You are not authorized to perform that operation"


Error



Event ID: 13360 An error was detected while accessing the Vault Database 'EnterpriseVaultDirectory'
Event ID: 8453 The EnterpriseVault.DirectoryService object reported an error. The error code was 0x80040e14

 


Cause



On Domino environments where the OU name contains UNICODE characters, i.e A&B, the EV stored procedure checks against the users within such OU fail with the errors below.
