Issue

With Deduplication on CASO MMS and/or an MMS servers, the Deduplication device or folder is no longer seen in the UI once the MMS is joined to the CASO server.

Solution

If the Deduplication Option is installed and a deduplication device or folder created on MMS or CASO server, the Deduplication folder is no longer seen in the UI after the MMS is joined or associated to the CASO server.  However, it is still in the Backup Exec database and still on disk.  It cannot be added, as it will state that one already exists.

WORKAROUND:
Remove the MMS server from CASO and restart services, including the Dedupe services. The deduplication folder should now be seen again.
