Issue

When adding Remote Agent Deduplication (RAD) to devices, the remote server shows up but no deduplication folder is associated with it.  This happens when the password for the Deduplication Folder is more than 15 characters.

Solution

There is a limitation when creating a RAD where the password used by the deduplication logon account cannot exceed 15 characters.  This issue has been resolved in the Backup Exec 2010 R2 release.
