If the 'Windows Schedule' is not present on the Default Software Update Plug-in Policy, the option is not available from the Drop down option for 'Add schedule' after it has been cloned.
Steps to duplicate:
1. Highlight the Default Software Update Plug-in Policy(DSWUP) and verify that a 'Windows Schedule' segment has not been added under the 'Schedule:' section.
2. Next Clone the DSWUP.
3. Open the cloned DSWUP policy
4. Click the drop down for 'Add Schedule'
5. Notice the option for 'Windows Schedule' is NOT available
Patch Management 7.0 SP1, SP2, MR1
The current design of the product only allows the option to be available in the original policy - Default Software Update Plug-in Policy.
This is currently being reviewed by the Symantec Development team and is being considered for a change in a future release. As a workaround make sure a 'Windows Schedule' is created in the original policy before making a clone. This will allow the new policy to have the option available.
