Problem
Is Symantec Endpoint Protection Mobile Edition 6 (SEPME 6) supported on the iOS-based devices from Apple? Is the newer Symantec Mobile Security 7.2 (SMS 7.2)? What Symantec product will protect an iPhone?
Solution
Symantec Mobile Management supports iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, and Symbian devices all through a single management platform. This is a product with features such as software deployment, management of password policies, remote wipe, and control over device features. SMM integrates with Symantec Mobile Security products like SEPME 6. It has some security capabilities, but at this time cannot roll out an anti-malware client for iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry.
