Problem

When opening the Gauge Summaries dashboard from a workstation with regional settings other than English the following error occurs: Error when node clicked: Unable to load the specified item (GUID:{4d343f01-5f63-4b37-a022-1c2e50f109a9})

Environment

Altiris Notification Server 6.0.5287 (SP2) or 6.0.6074 (SP3)
Altiris Gauge Subsystem Solution 6.0.1083
Altiris Site Monitor Solution 6.0.1083

Cause

The Altiris Console will try and emulate the language that has been set in the regional settings, but it will also take notice of the language that IE has been configured to use. If the language set in the regional settings and the language in IE are unsupported languages this error appears.

Solution

Put English (United States)[en-us] as most top language in IE.

To do this:
1) Open Internet Explorer
2) Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Languages
3) Add English (United States)[en-us] and move it to the top.
