KNOWN ISSUE: Application Management 6.1 reports are not compatible with SQL 2005

Issue



The following reports return an error when they are executed:

  • Baseline Added - Files > Added Products by Computer (SQL error)
  • Baseline Added - Registry > Added Keys by Computer (Console Error)
  • Baseline Added - Registry > Top 'N' Computers with most Added Keys (Console Error)
  • Baseline Deployment - Registry > Computers Not Reporting in Last 'N' Days (Console Error)
  • Baseline Deployment - Registry > Count of Computers by Baseline (Console Error)
     
  • Baseline Missing, Different - Registry > Missing or Different Keys and Values by Baseline (Console Error)
  • Baseline Missing, Different - Registry > Missing or Different Keys and Values by Computers (Console Error)
  • Baseline Missing, Different - Registry > Top 'N' Computers with Missing or Different Keys  (Console Error)
  • Baseline Summary > Compliance Level by Registry Baseline (SQL error)
  • Baseline Summary > Summary of all File Baselines (Console Error)
  • Windows Installer Agent > Installed Products - Summary (SQL error)
  • Windows Installer Agent > Products Reporting Inaccessible Source Paths (SQL error)
  • Lastly, the report in the Dashboards also error when executed.. (Console Error)

Environment



Application Management 6.1.4082

SQL Server 2005
SQL Server 2005 SP1


Cause



Application Management 6.1.4082 is not compatible with SQL 2005.


Solution



This hot fix is in the Application Management Solution 6.1 SP1 release. For the previous version of Application Management (build 6.1.4082, download and execute the attached hot fix to resolve the issue.

Note: The dashboard reports uses a pull-down menu at the top of the report frame to set the time parameter. In the previous version, 6.0, this was a text field set manually in each of the reports.
