Issue



FalconStor VTL is detected as a Physical Library instead of a Virtual Tape Library (VTL) and causes Library Expansion Option (LEO) errors

 


Error



This server is licensed to support 0 tape drives in robotic libraries. However, the number of tape drives currently in use exceeds the license. Additional Library Expansion Options must be purchased or disable 4 tape drives. Please refer to product documentation for more information.

 


Solution



This issue is resolved with the below Driver package.
 
NOTE: After installing the below driver package the FalconStor VTL must be deleted from the Backup Exec Devices tab and Backup Exec Services cycled after deletion so the device can be detected properly
