Problem
Domino agent backup fails with the error "A communications failure has occurred with a Lotus resource." when the entire volume is selected from under the Lotus Domino Databases Icon.
Error
A communications failure has occurred with a Lotus resource
V-79-57344-65296 - The database server is not responding. Backup set canceled.
Solution
The backup job fails with the following error if the entire volume is selected under Lotus Domino Databases Icon:
A communications failure has occurred with a Lotus resource
V-79-57344-65296 - The database server is not responding. Backup set canceled.
The Windows Application Event viewer has Event ID: 65215 generated with the following description:
The connection to the Lotus Domino server has been lost. The following error was reported: Notes Agent:CLNFileSystem::OpenObj - Access Violation Exception Caught.
Resolution:
This issue has been resolved with Hotfix 351400 for Backup Exec 2010. See related documents for more information
