Attachments are not being stripped from messages when they are archived.

Messages missing the PR_Body property are not archived
properly. When these messages are archived, the attachment is not stripped
from the message as per the mailbox archiving policy, and the size of the archived message
does not change from the original size.
This issue is evident when the mailbox archiving policy "Shortcut Content = Use message body".
Change the "Content of shortcut body" in the "Shortcut Content" tab of the mailbox archiving policy to "Customize".
Symantec Corporation has acknowledged that the above-mentioned issue is present in the version(s) of the product(s) referenced in this article.
There are currently no plans to address this issue by way of a cumulative hotfix or service pack in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time. This issue may be resolved in a future major revision of the software at a later time, but is not scheduled for any release. Html attachments are not stripped during post processing for messages created in a plain text format.
