Issue

The Java Remote Console for the SEPM contains both signed and unsigned code. Java 6 Update 21 added a new dialog box and choosing yes to the "Block potentially unsafe components from being run? (recommended)" window prevents the console from launching.

Error

Java has discovered application components that could indicate a security concern.

The application contains both signed and unsigned code. Contact the application vendor to ensure that it has not been tampered with.

java.lang.SecurityException: trusted loader attempted to load sandboxed resources from http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:9090/clientpkg/ext/mail.jar

Unable to launch the application.

Cause

Java 6 Update 21 added a new dialog box that warns the user of unsigned code. The default recommended action prevents the console from successfully launching.

Solution

When the dialog box "Block potentially unsafe components from being run? (recommended)" appears choose "No."

The Java Remote Console for the SEPM will now successfully launch.
