Which version of Symantec Enterprise Vault (tm) can this hotfix be applied?
This hotfix can only be applied to the following versions of Enterprise Vault for:


Enterprise Vault for Microsoft Exchange 9.0, Build 1193

What issue does this hotfix resolve?
Etrack 2114581
When attempting to archive (manual or scheduled archiving), SMIME signed email goes to pending, then back to an unarchived item for users that are enabled for vault cache / virtual vault.

If Outlook 2007 SP2 with the Outlook security update KB 980376 or KB 2288953 is installed, the email body may be missing when certain email (e.g. Backup Exec Archiving Option (BEAO) archived email) with an HTML body is ingested or retrieved through ECM API.

How to Install this hotfix:

1.  Stop all Enterprise Vault Services
2.  Backup the original versions of the files listed above
3.  Copy the patched files into Enterprise Vault Installation folder
4.  Restart the Enterprise Vault Services

How to Uninstall this hotfix:
1.  Stop all Enterprise Vault Services
2.  On each Enterprise Vault server, replace the following hotfix files with the original 9.0 version of the file:

EVStgAPI.dll

3.  Restart the Enterprise Vault Services
