Which version of Symantec Enterprise Vault (tm) can this hotfix be applied?
This hotfix can only be applied to the following versions of Enterprise Vault for:

Enterprise Vault for File System Archiving 9.0, Build 1193
 

What issue does this hotfix resolve?
When you migrate placeholders to a destination volume whose vault store is associated with a different Enterprise Vault (EV) server, the placeholders migrate successfully, but subsequent archiving from the destination volume fails.

Which files does this hotfix replace?
 

How to Install this hotfix:
Following steps need to be performed on all EV Servers in the site:

1. Take the backup of the following file from EV installation folder:
    FSAUtility.exe
    KVS.EnterpriseVault.FileServerArchiveCommon.dll
2. Stop All Enterprise Vault Services
3. Copy the following file provided in the hotfix to EV installation folder: 
    FSAUtility.exe
    KVS.EnterpriseVault.FileServerArchiveCommon.dll
4. Register new binaries using regasm (it can be located at C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727)
5. Restart Enterprise Vault Services

How to Uninstall this hotfix:
1.  Stop all Enterprise Vault Services
2.  On each Enterprise Vault server, replace the following hotfix files with the original 9.0 version of the file:

    FSAUtility.exe
    KVS.EnterpriseVault.FileServerArchiveCommon.dll

3.  Restart the Enterprise Vault Services
