Tests were being done to make sure all operating system types could be restored.
It was seen that Windows 2008 X86 Sp1 and Sp2 would always blue screen after restore when backup up using the FullVM backup method.
Error
Blue Screen after restore
Environment
Vsphere 4.0 Update 1.
NetBackup 7.0 with Engineering fix 2060693
Cause
The servers involved were missing the section from the VMX file called.
"disk.EnableUUID=true"
Solution
This is default in Vsphere 4.1.

It was not sure why this was missing as other servers like Windows 2008 R2 had the setting and were not affected.
