Event ID 7309 occurs when attempting to repair an index volume and the volume is not repaired.

Environment

Problem



An index volume is not repaired properly due to an incorrect Saveset ID entry in the IndexMissing.log file.  This can occur when running  IndexCheck -c MissingDocs on the indexvolume to create the IndexMissing.log file. 

 


Error



The following warning will be seen in the Enterprise Vault (EV) Event Viewer log on the EV server running the Indexing Service for that user. 

Event ID: 7309 The sequence number read from the failed items log does not correspond to the Saveset ID specified in the file. The item will not be repaired. |Index Volume: Success [0] |Sequence Number: 1984396E68009A74CB290992B5EAD987E1110000evsite/VolumeSet:102 (John Doe) |Expected Saveset ID: 9348 |Actual Saveset ID: 201008122626130~201006202110570000~Z~000CFFD4E46F658014C7DF2F8F4B97A1 |
