Steps to Install Symantec Management Agent(also known as the Altiris Agent) on client servers:-

On the Symantec System Recovery / Backup Exec System Recovery Management Solution Home tab in the Getting Started Web part, click 'Install the Symantec Management Agent / Altiris Agent'. Do one of the following:

To install the Symantec Management Agent / Altiris Agent on computers where Symantec System Recovery / Backup Exec System Recovery for Windows will run:

• Select one or more computers or add a computer name or IP address of the client computer the Symantec Management Agent / Altiris Agent is being pushed to.
• On the 'Install Symantec Management Agent / Altiris Agent' tab, click 'Installation Settings'. In the Symantec Management Agent / Altiris Agent Installation Options panel, select the options that need to be applied to the agent.
• Click OK.
• Click 'Symantec Management Agent / Install Altiris Agent'. Review the installation options and make changes if necessary.
• Click 'Proceed with Install'.

Please Note: The screenshots are that for the installation of the Altiris agent on the Backup Exec System Recovery Management Solution. However, same is the procedure for installation of the Symantec Management Agent on the Symantec System Recovery Management Solution.

• Select Symantec Management Agent / Altiris Unix/Linux Agent install tab.
•  Select one or more computers or add a computer name or IP address of the client computer the Symantec Management Agent / Altiris Agent is being installed to.
• On the 'Install Symantec Management Agent / Altiris Agent for UNIX, Linux and Mac tab', click Installation Settings.
• In the Install Settings panel, set the options needed to apply to the agent as found in the Connection and Authentication tab and the Agent Settings tab. Click OK.
• Click 'Install the Symantec Management Agent / Altiris Agent'. Click OK to proceed with the installation.

Note: In order to uninstall Symantec Management Agent / Altiris Agent from remote computer, then click on "Uninstall Symantec Management Agent / AltirisAgent" button and rest of the steps will be same.
