Problem
After installing the latest 5.1 AIX VEA gui as per article TECH125166 - HOWTO install Veritas Enterprise Administrator (VEA) GUI for product version 5.1
Starting vea from a client and typing username and password the connection fails.
Error
Error V-39-53247-2
Error while connecting to 123.4.5.0
Could not connect to server Capabilities mismatch
Environment
AIX 5.3
Cause
Due to some AIX OS JVM libraries that enforce a strict security mechanisms
Solution
Apply AIX hotfix
