Issue

Installing too many 8.6 version RFU's using "Install Latest Rapid Fire" causes package info corruption on Solaris machines

Error

Error: Information for package "xxxx"file is corrupted or does not exist

Environment

Solaris 8,9,10

Cause

Insufficient time allotted for Multiple RFU's to complete the install. When on the RMS the information panel stating "Successfully added Rapid Fire XXXX" appears, there are still processes running on the target server. Allow it more time to complete before attempting a query. Up to 4 minutes have been observed in running completion scripts on the target.

Solution

Install RFU's that makes changes to RMS program files and target binaries individually. "Push" rfu 9000 to perform the upgrade by itself also. Do this for rfu 9001 as it adds many change to the binaries of the target system agent and on the RMS Console Wait for at least 1 minute after the message "Successfully updated with rfu xxxx" for the scripts to complete on the target server.
