Which version of Symantec Enterprise Vault (EV) can this hotfix be applied?
This hotfix can only be applied to the following versions of Enterprise Vault for:

Enterprise Vault for Microsoft Exchange 9.0, Build 1193
Enterprise Vault for Lotus Domino 9.0, Build 1193
Enterprise Vault for File System Archiving (FSA) 9.0, Build 1193
Enterprise Vault Discovery Accelerator (DA) 9.0, Build 1135

What issue(s) does this hotfix resolve?

When Virtual Vault performs its synchronization it uses ListArchives.aspx to acquire the list of archives the user has access to and various stages. This call is not managed by any "slot" mechanism.

Applying legal holds causes StorageOnlineOpns process to consume excessive amounts of memory.

On a client machine or the EV server that has Outlook installed, retrieval of FSA archived MSG files from placeholders may generate one of the messages in the above Error section.

How to Install this hotfix:
On the EV server:
1. Stop all the EV services.
2. Backup the original versions of the files listed above in the Enterprise Vault install folder.
3. Copy the patched file into the Enterprise Vault install folder.
4. Start the EV services.

On the DA server (if available)
1. Stop all the DA services.
2. Backup the original version of the EVContentManagementAPI.dll file.
3. Copy the patched EVContentManagementAPI.dll file into the EV runtime directory.
4. Start the DA services.


How to Uninstall this hotfix:
1. Stop all EV and DA services.
2. Copy the original file from the backup location and replace the patched copy.
3. Start the EV and DA services.
