Unable to connect to remote Windows 7 machines from other Backup Exec System Recovery or agent installations

Windows 7 machines cannot be remotely connected to, even in situations where these same Windows 7 machines are able to connect to other machines in the environment.


The inability to attach to Windows 7 machines may occur because the Windows 7 Firewall by default does not allow inbound TCP/IP connections.


To resolve the issue,

Select Advanced Settings

Select Windows Firewall Properties Under the Overview Pane.

Enable Inbound connections by changing the "Block" option in Advanced settings on the Domain Profile tab, as seen in the screen shot below:
