Problem

Exchange GRT (Granular Restore Technology) restore fails with the error referenced below.

Error

V-79-57344-757 - Cannot back up one or more properties for one or more mail messages. Review the resource credentials for the job, and then run the job again.
Error writing file data.

The Remote Agent Debug on the Exchange server shows mail is restored, then a failed corrupt message followed by more successful mail restores.

Cause

Based on the debug output, the email message that failed to restore is corrupt. Attempts to restore any other email selected in the job is successful.

Solution

The mail message was corrupt at time of the backup. If another backup is available of the mail message before corruption occurred, try restoring from that backup for the failed message.
