Entrust encrypted messages, and other 3rd party application operations, report an Access Denied error when opened from Virtual Vault


Solution



There are certain 3rd party applications, such as Entrust, that attempt to perform operations on messages that are contained in the Virtual Vault Cache.  The Enterprise Vault - Virtual Vault Cache currently is a read-only object with respect to operations outside of Enterprise Vault functionality, when a 3rd party application attempts a direct operation upon the content of the Virtual Vault Cache the application will receive an access denied error.

This issue has been addressed as part of the following releases:
