Problem
Security Role is losing Read and Execute permissions when replication completes. Sometimes the Role is fine, but when changes occur at the top NS to items being replicated, the next morning the Security Role missing permissions.
Error
None
Environment
NS 7 SP5
CMS 7 MR2
Cause
When an item is replicated, it recreates security on the item using that which was up top. When the Security Role is created at the child NS, adding security to replicated items works until the item is replicated again.
Solution
Create Security Role on top NS adding security for items that replicate. Edit Role on child NS adding items that do not replicate.
