License authorization not valid - PGP Desktop 9.x

This article describes how to resolve a License Authorization Not Valid error when authorizing a PGP Desktop license number.
If you are receiving the following error:
There was a problem verifying the license authorization.
The License Authorization is not valid. Please double-check the text...
This error indicates that either the date/time is incorrect on the system, the license is expired, or the information is being entered incorrectly. If you have received a manual license authorization from us, all four items of information need to match. This includes the username, organization name, license number, and manual text block.
If you are moving from one computer to another, these four items of information can be obtained through the PGP Desktop License tab on your original machine.
