This article details how to license PGP Universal Server.
Before authorizing, make certain your system Date/Time are correct on the System>General tab. If the date or time are incorrect, this may prevent successful authorization of the license.
|Note: Internet connectivity is necessary for an authorization to be successful. If you do not have an Internet connection, you may manually authorize the license of the server.|
PGP Universal Server is licensed through the administrative web console in the System General tab. Please use the steps below to authorize the license:
1. Click License.
2. Enter the appropriate Name and Organization associated with your license number.
3. Enter an Email address and License Number.
4. Click Save.
For versions prior to 3.1.0, if you use a new license which was different from your old license, you must use Authorized User for the Name and Authorized Company for the Organization to authorize the license.
This includes licensing a PGP Universal Server 2.x license.
|Note: All PGP Desktop products are authorized using the same Name and Organization. Contacting the PGP License Authorization Server is no longer required to authorize a PGP software license.|
