A PGP Zip Archive package is a single file that is encrypted and compressed for convenient transport or backup. These archive files can hold any combination of files and/or folders, and are especially convenient for secure transport or backup.

When attempting to encrypt a number of files with PGP Zip, you receive the following error:

Unable to Save (Corrupt data: -11976)

This error can occur due to the maximum file size limitation of the file system. File systems have the following limitations:

  • FAT16 - 2GB
  • FAT32 - 4GB
  • NTFS - Limited by volume size. (Max volume size - 2TB)
