This article describes how to resolve a License Authorization Not Valid error when authorizing a PGP Desktop license.

This error indicates that either the computer's date/time is incorrect, the license is expired, or the Name, Organization, or License number information is being entered incorrectly. If using a manual license authorization, all four items of information need to match. This includes the Name, Organization, License number and manual text block. When copying the manual authorization, be sure to include all dashes at the beginning and end of the text.

For PGP Desktop 10.1.x and newer licenses or if you have received a new license, you must use Authorized User for the Name and Authorized Company for the Organization
