A PGP Desktop license is used to enable the functionality you purchased and set the expiration of the software maintenance. Depending on your license, some or all of the PGP Desktop features will be active. You must then authorize the license for PGP Desktop either manually or online.
This notification can appear in PGP Desktop for various reasons.
- The license for PGP Desktop has not been authorized. - Authorize your license to resolve the issue.
- You are using a license number for PGP Desktop 9.5.x and above with an older version of PGP Desktop. For example, you have PGP Desktop 9.0.6 installed, but have authorized a PGP Desktop 9.12 license. - Upgrade PGP Desktop 9.0.x to the latest version.
