Problem
Some Symantec Private Hotfixes and Patches require Microsoft XML Core Services (MSXML) version 6.0 to be present on the server.
Error
Failed to install Hotfix or Patch. Error V-16-0-7744 Failed to load the required XML file. Ensure that you have Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0 installed on the node
Environment
Cause
Some Private Hotfixes and Patch require Microsoft XML Core Services (MSXML) version 6.0 to be present on the server and the patches will fail to complete installation if the MS Core Services are absent. Microsoft XML Core Services (MSXML) allows XML-based applications interoperability with other applications that adhere to the XML 1.0 standard.
Solution
Please ensure that Microsoft XML Core Services 6.0 is installed prior to implementation of Symantec hotfix or patch.
