Solution Details:
No, password synchronization cannot be used without also using single sign-on.
First, to enable password synchronization in the user program setup wizard, you have to enable single sign-on. When you run the EP Hard Disk client install, using the "/ng" parameter will disable both single sign-on and password synchronization.
So, to use password synchronization, you must also use single sign-on.
