Problem

When attempting to log into the SRAS web portal for the first time after installation, you get "Server Error in '/SecureFusion' Application" error. "Could not load file or assembly 'CheckInLibrary' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format."

Error

Environment

64 bit Windows Server 2003/2008 IIS6 or IIS7.

Cause

This is caused by IIS trying to run SRAS application in 64 bit mode.

Solution

Explicitly set IIS to run SRAS as a 32bit application. (Follow these steps)

· From a command prompt run: cscript C:\inetpub\adminscripts\adsutil.vbs SET W3SVC/AppPools/Enable32bitAppOnWin64 1

· From a command prompt run: C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727>aspnet_regiis.exe -i

o That installs the 32 bit web extensions for ASP.NET 2.0

· disable all of the unnecessary web extensions from IIS Manager

If you get a 404 error, check the "web service extension" to make certain that the 32-bit version of aspnet is enabled is and the 64-bit is disabled.

· **Out of the ordinary** you also may need to modify the metabase to remove references to the ASP.NET 4.0 ISAP dlls due to erros in the event viewer. Be sure to make a copy of the original metabase and leave Copy of Metabase.xml in the c:\Windows\system32\inetsrv folder in case you need to revert settings in the future.
