Backup Exec, Backup Exec System Recovery and BE Retrieve have no support for smart card authentication

Issue



At this time, environments which require smart card authentication may be unable to use the Backup Exec line of products to perform operations which require the entry of a user name and password.

 


Solution



The only workaround is to be able to provide a user name and password for any operation which requires authentication to be provided.
