Problem
Symantec Enterprise Vault (EV) Discovery Accelerator (DA) 8.0.x Custodian Manager (CM) synchronizes Active Directory (AD) groups and members even when configured to not synchronize groups.
Environment
- Enterprise Vault 8.0.4 or 8.0.5 on Windows Server 2003 or 2008
- Discovery Accelerator 8.0.4 or 8.0.5
Solution
The solution is to upgrade to Discovery Accelerator 9.x.
A workaround exists to reconfigure the directory synchronization to synchronize on one or more Organizational Units where the option to synchronize groups and members is not checked.
