Problem
Backup of SharePoint 2010 fails with unable to query the team database meta-data.
Error
Backup- User Profile Service Application\Proxy (XXXXXX\XXXXXXX )
V-79-57344-794 - Error: Unable to query the Team database meta-data.
Note : Debugging Backup Exec Service the SPSwrapper.log shows the following error.

Solution
This issue is resolved in Backup Exec 2010 R2 Hotfix (TECH159293). See Related Documents.

Workaround
Deselect the user profile service application\proxy from the backup selection list.
