How to print the selection list of Backup Exec job definitions with Backup Exec 11d and later

Solution

1. At the command prompt, change the directory to X:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec, where X: is the drive where Symantec Backup Exec (tm) is installed.

2. Run the command: bemcmd -o506 >job.txt at the command prompt
Note: To print the selection list of a single job definition, run the command:
bemcmd -o506 -j"JOB_NAME" > job.txt

3. This will dump the properties of all job definitions to the file named job.txt, which will be created in the \Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\ directory. Use any text editor to view the contents of this data.

For more information on available switches, run bemcmd /? >bemcmd.txt at the command prompt, and then open bemcmd.txt in any text editor.
