Problem
A remote IDR (Intelligent Disaster Recovery) restore of a Remote Agent Direct Access (RADA) enabled 'Remote Agent for Deduplication' fails with the following error.
Error
0xe000813c - The system cannot find the path specified.
V-79-57344-33084 - Unable to acquire device for the specified pool and media
Cause
The Backup Exec media server expects the Remote Agent for Deduplication to directly connect to the deduplication device. The connection fails because the Remote Agent for Deduplication is in the recovery process.
Solution
1. Before attempting to start the IDR restore of a remote computer that was backed up to a deduplication storage folder, make sure the Backup Exec media server is turned on.
2. On the Devices tab, delete the Remote Agent for Deduplication which is being restored.
3. Restart all Backup Exec services.
4. Start the remote IDR restore process of the Remote Agent for Deduplication.
