Backup Exec Remote agent service (BEREMOTE.EXE) terminates in Faulting module bedsshadow.dll on a Hyper-V host when backing up Highly Available Hyper-V clustered Virtual Machine.

Problem
When backing up Highly Available Hyper-V clustered Virtual Machines that resides on a CSV the Backup Exec Remote Agent Service (BEREMOTE.EXE) may terminate in bedsshadow.dll. The service will terminate on the Hyper-V cluster node hosting the Virtual Machine. The job will fail with the following error.

Environment
Windows 2008 R2 Hyper-V Cluster
Virtual Machines residing on CSV path C:\ClusterStorage\Volume10, C:\ClusterStorage\Volume11, etc
Backup Exec 2010 R2 and R3
Solution
This issue is resovled in Backup Exec 2010 R2 Hotfix (TECH159293). See Related Documents.
