When running multiple backup or restore jobs (parallel) of VM's at the same time, the jobs may fail with the following error:

"V-79-57344-65072 - Connection to the restore target has been lost".

Note: In some instances of this issue, the Backup Exec Remote Agent service has stopped.

This issue is caused by the number of connection that can be made to the vCenter database at the same time.  The default number of connections is set to 10.

To resolve this issue the "Maximum Number of Database Connections to be Created" will need to be increased.  To increase the number of connections:

1. Log into vCenter using the vSphere client.

2. Select Home - vCenter Server Settings - Database.

3. Change the number for Maximum Number from 10 to a higher number.

Note: After changing the number the VMware VirtualCenter Server services must be restarted for the change to take effect.
